This 90-minute workshop will provide you with foundation knowledge about how music therapy can support children in early childhood.
Facilitated by Natalie Oliveri, an experienced music therapist registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association, it will give insight into some of the strategies she uses daily to support the children she works with.
Children with developmental delay and typically developing children can benefit from engaging with music, because is utilises multiple regions in the brain. Learn how music can be effective and why adding music to a child’s routine and their natural settings supports their development.
This workshop will be an excellent resource for parents, carers, educators and allied health professionals to additionally understand how music therapy complements a child’s other therapies and supports the development of communication, motor and social skills.
